Get The Message!

One thing about voice-over that’s always true, is helping
someone else’s message land the way they intended.

When the script sounds natural,
the audience isn’t thinking about the voice.
They’re connecting with the message.

That’s always the goal.

Perfect, I’m not so sure about that!

Relationships are built one conversation at a time.

Whether it’s a client, a colleague, or a new connection, genuine interest goes farther than the perfect pitch.

Have a great weekend!

Got the message!

One of my favorite things about voice-over is helping someone else’s message land the way they intended.

A great read isn’t about drawing attention to the voice. It’s about helping the audience connect with the message.

How was your last VO session?

A good voice-over session shouldn’t feel complicated.

Clear direction.
Good communication.
Prep the script.

Amazing how far those three things can take a project.

Always listen to what you’re reading!

Something I’ve learned from working with scripts:

The first thing you notice isn’t always the most important thing.

You start by focusing on the words.

Then the pacing.

Then the emotion.

Eventually, you realize the real job is understanding why someone wanted to say those words in the first place.

The deeper you go, the simpler it becomes.

How do you choose?

“Working with video producers and instructional designers has shown me that every script has a story waiting to be told, whether it’s a training module, a brand video, or an explainer animation.

The key to success is aligning the voice with the vision—finding that perfect tone, pace, and delivery to bring the content to life. What’s your biggest challenge when selecting the right voice for your projects? Is it nailing the tone, finding someone versatile, or ensuring quick turnaround times?

Let’s start a conversation—I’d love to hear your thoughts and share insights from my experience!”

Let’s Talk

It’s all about The Voice…or is It!

It’s just my  humble opinion that  VO clients have a voice in their head that’s perfect for their project.   It’s the job of the actor during audition to change the clients mind that his/her voice is “just exactly perfect” to represent their company.

So, talent has been hired and the voice actor hasn’t really connected with the script? How will the actor reach the audience that the client is targeting? After all,  the objective is to build and expand the clients brand and create a repeat customer base while increasing the bottom line.   It’s a delicate balance, with most VO work being recorded in home studios, you really must put your best performance into your audition.

So is it the sound of the actors Voice, or, is it?
