A trophy may sit on a shelf collect dust. A satisfied client helps build a career.

The last day of the month isn’t only about looking back at what you accomplished.
It’s also a chance to decide what you’ll carry forward—and what you’ll leave behind.
Moving forward doesn’t require a perfect month. It only requires that you keep moving.
As for me, I’ll keep the momentum up and stay the course!

Yesterday, I completed the fifth and
final manuscript for Season One of
Beyond the Stone Path: Zacky’s Woods™.
What began as a memory of the
woods I explored as a boy in
Iselin, New Jersey, has grown into
a world of friendship, curiosity, hidden places, and adventure.
There is still plenty of work ahead,
but today I’m taking a moment to
appreciate this milestone.
Sometimes momentum doesn’t need
to be forced. It just needs to be fed.

Tuesday, I talked about loyalty.
But loyalty doesn’t stand on its own.
Without respect, loyalty can start to feel more like
obligation—and there’s a big difference between
staying because you have to and staying because you feel valued.
Yesterday, I mentioned three things I’ve been thinking about lately:
Loyalty. Respect. Common sense. Let’s start with loyalty.
It’s easy to call yourself loyal when everything is going well. I think loyalty shows itself when standing by someone—or standing by your word—becomes inconvenient.
That’s when you find out whether it means something.
Lately, though, it seems like loyalty has become conditional. Some people are loyal only as long as the relationship benefits them.
But I can show you what true loyalty looks like and he has four legs and a fur coat. He stands by me no matter what.
That’s loyalty. So let me ask you:
Has loyalty really disappeared—or have we changed what we expect it to mean?
I’ve been thinking about three things lately:
Loyalty. Respect. Common sense.
It’s not just that they seem unusual anymore. Sometimes it feels as though people have decided they’re unnecessary.
There was a time when standing by your word mattered. Treating people with respect mattered. Thinking about how your actions might affect somebody else mattered.
Now, some people just don’t seem to give a damn—as long as they get what they want.
Maybe—no, not maybe. Definitely. The world has changed. Our expectations have changed with it.

It’s easy to stay the course when you can see the results.
It’s much harder when the numbers
slow down and you begin wondering
whether your effort is making any difference.
I looked at some numbers this morning, and
they hadn’t changed much overnight. I’ll
admit, there was a little disappointment.
But not every bit of progress shows up
immediately. Sometimes people are
watching without responding. Sometimes
the work is doing something beneath the surface.
That’s when patience matters—but
patience doesn’t mean sitting still.
It means continuing to do the work,
making adjustments when needed,
and staying the course long enough
to give your efforts a chance to grow.
